写実画家 Realist painter｜平井絵美 Emi Hirai｜About
父は絵画愛好家で、生前個人収集家として、又パトロンとして画家の活動を支援し、個人的な交流も深めておりました。
そんな父の元で、日常絵画に囲まれ、親しみながら育ちました私ですが、父の亡き後、私自身が絵筆を手にするなど思いもよらぬ事でした。
１９９７年、子供達の英国留学に同伴しました私は、現地にて描画を学び始め、それが高じまして現在に至りました。
身近な愛しい人を、美しい花や自然を、その『存在』に感謝し『命』を愛でつつ、愛と真心を込めて描く事は、私にとりまして『癒し』であり、
心に秘めた父への想い、細やかな恩返しでもあるのです。
My father was a lover of art, and he developed deep personal relationships with painters, both as a collector and as their patrons.
Though I grew up with such father, being surrounded by paintings and observing them on daily basis, I never imagined that I myself would be taking up painting brushes after his death.
In 1997, while living in UK with my children for their education, I started learning drawing, and this has led me to where I am today.
To paint with affection and sincerity the people whom I dearly care, the beautiful flowers and nature, while being grateful to their “existence” and “life”, is “a healing” for me.
At the same time, it’s an expression of my innermost feelings and gratitude towards my father.

１９７３年 成城大学文芸学部英文学科卒
２００１年 Bedford 州立成人教育協会主催、”City & Guild Course” 受講
（油彩/水彩/パステル画、陶芸、装飾ステンド・グラス）
～３年 ２００２年パステル画で、２００３年油彩画、及び陶芸、装飾
ステンド・グラスで受賞
２００４年 Blake College London にて ”Fine Art” の資格取得コース受
講
”Fine Art”で最優秀賞受賞
